My younger brother swears by everything DELL
The look of this laptop is very stable and rugged. This is true of American made gadgets they are all rugged and attractive looking, Dell is a poineer in laptops and they have a very good reputation in computer manufacturers. I will certainly recommend DELL and other American manufacturers of Computers like Apple and Compaq.
DELL is a international company now, they are entering India, they have good base in Europe and all their products are a little costly and much liked by people, specially business houses prefer companies with reputation like DELL.
Laptop is the name of basically a carry with you computer, now a days you see laptops are becoming more and more essential, I had a visit from a sales executive from a leading dye manufacturer, He was promoting some special products of his company, I asked him to give me the full product list with price list also.
This Executive pulled out his laptop and went thru some excel files and within minutes he pulled out all the required information, let me tell you this usually takes me 4 or 5 faxes of communication to get this much information from any of my suppliers. I became a believer in laptops from that moment onwards. I think time will prove laptops to be more important than they are now. Laptops are growing in their utility and their computing powers, so you cannot just say this is the most ideal specifications, everyday manufacturers are coming up with many useful improvements in their gadgets. The roller ball control of the cursor is very unique to Laptops, it feels like you are playing not working or not serious in what you are doing. Anyway laptops are moving from exotic to useful in a very short span of time.
The Inspiron 600m from Dell is the Intel Centrino package, it has become a more average laptop computer. As these days all manufacturers are providing equal power and equal resources.

Dell's Inspiron 600m laptop is on the market some time now. While it was one of the first Intel Centrino based systems, most thin and light systems now use this configuration. It comes with standard Intel Pentium M processor and 802.11b wireless network. Upgrade can be made by paying more and make it a 802.11g wireless adapater. Memory is above average with 384MB, yet below the leading 512MB of other models. Graphics is a good mix of a 14.1" LCD matched with an ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 graphics processor.
The system has good battery life competing well other models in the market. One strange omission on the system is a FireWire connector. This is fairly standard on all laptop systems now. One nice aspect to Dell's system is the ability to customize the features. We can upgrade the system if we require more performance, but beware of the cost it will go up too.
Some call it LAPTOP and some call it BELLYTOP, let us see how you will call this computer.
